My time at SDSU

I loved my time at SDSU. It amazes me how much I learned. To be honest, when I chose to be a marketing major, I barely even knew what marketing was, now I can’t walk into a business or see an advertisement without analyzing a company’s strategy and thinking about what it could do better to be more profitable. I love the psychology aspect of marketing. Learning what motivates consumers to behave a certain way intrigues me. My two favorite classes I took in college was a consumer behavior course and relationship sales course. I learned how if marketers can understand their consumers and learn how to properly market to them this will drive sales for a company. I also loved my relationship sales class because I found the strategies of sales interesting. I learned the importance of adapting to prospects’ different personalities and meeting their individual needs. I had a great professor for this class, he taught me to not look at sales as an exchange of money, but instead as an exchange of value by solving their problems.
